Copy Editing

When you think your manuscript, article, whatever, is done, think again. Does it read well? How is your sentence structure? Is there any repetition or awkward phrasing?

During the copyediting, also known as line editing, I go line by line through your work. I check the content, flow, word choice. I analyze your sentence structure and make sure that your style is top-notch without sacrificing your unique voice

Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process before publication. This is when I review your grammar and punctuation and check for any remaining typos.

Even if your work has been copy-edited, you can still benefit from one last set of eyes before you send it off to publishers.

Spell check is great, but it’s not foolproof. You can still get the wrong their, there, they’re or miss a comma that is the difference between “Let’s eat, Grandma!” and “Let’s eat Grandma!” Don’t want to make that mistake!
